Worship Services

Church Service Times

We meet to worship as a community together at 9.30am, each Sunday morning.

What To Expect

A church service goes for about an hour, give or take.  The dress standard is casual.  During the service, there will be times of prayer, singing, bible reading, and some reflection on the reading.

Sometimes this is a talk, and sometimes it’s a more interactive discussion. Throughout the service, your level of involvement is up to you.

During the service, there is a collection taken up for our members who regularly donate to the working of the church.  If you’re visiting, there is no obligation to give anything, and no set amount if you choose to.  Afterwards, morning tea is served in the hall.

Children

Children are always welcome in the church service.  We recognise that kids sometimes make noise and we appreciate the sound of kids.

However we also recognise that it can be distressing for parents sometimes when children are restless so a small soundproof creche area is available at the back of the worship space, where families can still see and hear the service going on.

Some weeks, primary and pre-primary aged children are invited to join one of our leaders for a separate learning and activity time based around the bible reading for the day.

Holy Communion

Noranda Uniting celebrates the sacrament of Holy Communion (also called the Eucharist) on the first Sunday of each month.

We practise a theology of openness in our understanding of this sacrament, meaning that everyone is welcome to participate, because we believe God sets no limits on grace.
