Event Spaces for use

Who Shares This Space?

Some of the groups that share this space with us are:

In offering our space, we have decided we want to operate under a framework of “host and guest” rather than “landlord and tenant”. As such, whenever a community group uses this space, a small host group will be present to say hello when the group’s facilitator arrives and be on hand for anything the group might need.

We do not charge rent for community groups to use our space, because we want to build community in this neighbourhood. However, we always offer the opportunity for a group to give a donation if they wish, but this is in no way obligatory.

Our dream is for the Noranda Uniting building to become a place for all the community to use.

The Hall

The hall holds up to 150 people.  It has a piano and a number of folding tables and stacks of chairs.

There is a kitchen attached with two ovens and stovetops, two microwaves, two sinks, and an urn.

Cutlery, crockery and glassware are also available.

The Meeting Room

The meeting room is suitable for small group meetings of up to 20 people.  It has table and chairs.

The Sanctuary

The auditorium style sanctuary space is suitable for speakers and small concerts. There is comfortable seating for approx. 100 people, although full capacity is 168.  A sound system and data projection system are also accessible.
